Duratracs are good tires. Had them before my current set of falkens.

I had duratracs for about 50k miles. They lasted a long time, but as a daily driver they were the worst tires Ive ever had. Great in the snow, but vibrations were annoying and wet traction after about 20-25k miles was non existent. Trying to start up a wet hill was like driving on bald tires in the snow. Going around turns when wet was a constant battle to prevent the rear from breaking loose. The problem appears to be non existing quality control from Goodyear. Its a gamble whether you'll get good ones or bad ones. Never again. I have wildpeaks now which are so much better.

There is a $50 rebate on them right now and discount tire is doing a prepaid credit card up to $100 on their "best tires". I'll call tomorrow and see what level the gift card qualifies for. They also do military discount which helps.

That is about the exact same results and opinion I have after running a set of them, 235-85-16's. In the beginning they ran well, it was a lot of snow driving. As they wore, they picked up many vibrations, and on even a damp road they would slide and kick my ABS on. I rotated them, and kept up to date on my front end alignments, and just could never get a good ride out of them. The good was I did sell them after about 40K and had almost half the tread left. On another Tacoma we have, it's running 285 BFG AT KO'2's They ride excellent and seem to pull well in the snow and off road so far. I just put a set of Hancook Dyna Pro ATM's on another Tacoma. There's about 18-24" of fresh snow out there right now and it's time to head out. Time to find out what these are made of, they have good reviews and should do well in it.

I had Duratracs on my 2014, and would not buy them again. Although the traction was great, I found them noisy and it seems they could never get them perfectly balanced. I just switched to BFG A/T KO2s (34x10.5) on my 2006 Tacoma. These are not as noisy and have great traction as well.

Just a heads up. I called today and this qualifies for the $100 Discount Tire rebate plus the $50 Goodyear rebate. So $150 off total. That is the best I've found so far. You can also call ahead and make an appointment for Black Friday.

My experience with Duratracs is similar. They really sucked in the snow and off road.

I've never owned a set of the original KO's. So far I've been pleased with the KO2's but I have not driven them in the snow yet.

I ran those new DynaPro ATM's all day yesterday in 2WD to check them out. They did very well, not sure of the long term opinion, but so far they were a good tire at a reasonable price, I believe around 135.00 each for 265's.

Duratracs have been the best tires ive run in the wet/snow! I've run BFG AT, MT, Cooper STT and some others I probably don't care to remember. Obviously a snowflake rated AT is going to be better than any MT in wet/cold/snowy conditions... and these weren't all on my Tacoma, so that's a factor... but damn, with 40k on mine they still perform. A little noisy- but they are a pretty aggressive AT. I'm shocked that some of you have had the exact opposite experience. Maybe it's the load range C guys with the issues? Tire pressures? So weird.

Mine were E's also, and at 40K they passed for half tread left, so they wore very well, and in snow they were great. My main issue was the ride and vibration after some miles got on them. I kept them balanced, rotated, and ran them at around 34-36 PSI. You may be correct my tire pressure could have been part of the problem.

I ran Dynapro ATM's (P-rated) for a year - in Minnesota - and found them to be mediocre at best. Their price is good though.

Saw a stick go through the sidewall of a Duratrac twice, just a little stick stuck in some sand on the ground. But if there are no sticks where you live I think you will be fine.
