I'll get a pic of my truck later or tomorrow. Arm is totally exposed when looking at it from the side. Mine is a 3rd gen so maybe that's why.

I'd trim plastic, I've removed the jay lenno chin, I will never do a CMC Plastic trimming is one thing, hacking a cab mount up is off the table for me. I've had my truck since May 18th and it's got shy of 2200 miles on it, it'll be new forever lol

I came from the Jeep world, I've built A LOT of trucks I've never cut anything at all. If I need more room, i'll lift it more. Cutting just isn't my thing.

If poly is a yes, please ask if he gonna drill hole for zerk grease fitting. Camburgs are this way, self tapping zerks, customer installed, provided with product, makes the bushing serviceable without disassembly.

Lol I'm referring to the black plastic air dam under the front bumper. I'll gladly post a picture later on if you'd like.

It'd be silly for him not to but if he doesn't this is a very easy do it yourself modification.

Well it is irrelevant in my case, because they have already shipped....but yeah, good point, that would be a nice design tweak. I suppose I could do this as part of my prep, depending on the wall thickness of the bushing tube. Damn you, Nick. Now I need to source self-tapping zerks. Or direct me to your Nickipedia link :D

    also buying some Prothane.

Why self tapping zerks? Drill a hole, tap it, install the zerk, no big deal at all.

Some people, like myself, don't have the tools to tap.
I can drill a hole though.

Why not? I could, but I'd like to save as much time as possible and just get the daily driver back together ASAP.

Thread Forming Grease Fittings also referred to as spin drive grease fittings are used to save tapping cost and have special tapered drive threads that reshape the material in an untapped hole to provide a leakproof seal. Spinning these fittings into an untapped hole provides the most effective installation, but they may also be driven directly into an untapped hole. Thread Forming Fittings may be replaced by standard fittings that have the same thread size.

I know what they are. I'd much rather do it right, drill and tap the hole, know I've removed all the metal shavings from both drilling and tapping, and install a zerk. We all have different opinions though, whatever works for you. I've got all the proper tools to do this but if you don't, I understand not wanting to buy them.

Fair enough on removing the shavings. No need to buy anything, I've already got a kit.

Interesting. Since I ordered mine a week ago and specified a new build with the new bushings, and separate ball joints (I'm going to paint these black), I wonder what BJs will come. Those were listed as a separate, costly part on this site in a section unrelated to the Tacoma UCAs, and his details on the Tacoma UCAs do not reflect these changes yet, nor a change in price. It would be nice if website info were kept current.

Well...I'll see. I'm still a little nervous about these things, even though Marlin has been tweaking the design to address shortcomings. I wish the current improved version had another year of real-world reviews, but I need to get this shit going, and I think they will be fine for my long-bed light expos DD uses.
