Yeah, same here.

This particular setup is cool tho. It somehow connects into the throttle to automatically vary RPMs as amp demands are placed on the welder. That would make mounting it tricky too I suppose.

 

Yea. Has to be in the engine bay.

Runs straight off the alt though. So maybe after I relocate the batteries.

 

Also don't make a kit for our trucks

 

I think I read they also offer an extention kit so it can be mounted somewhere other than the engine bay. Like that guy in the video, 'in' the rear bumper.

Yeah, saw that too. But that is mostly because they don't offer a specific, high amp alternator for the Tacoma. Not sure if that's a major issue or not.

 

They offer ones for gms so should fit. With that. Idk how the throttle thing would work.

Either way. Be cool. Not sure Id extend it too far with the high amps needed to weld.

Be handy I think. Though I can't think of many situations where we need it that wouldn't need more shit if something that bad happened

 

This is one of those 'what ifs' only. We have yet to face a situation where we needed something like this.

 

Right but my point is if something breaks that bad I don't think we would have all the parts to fix it. Even with the welder.

Case and point, my LBJ death. Id have had to have another steering rack, lbj, cv axle, upper ball joint, and then we could have welded the brace back on.

I just can't think of many situations where you'd need just a welder to get out of.

Plus carrying extra chunks of steel would be required.

 

I know I had issues every now and then with my GoPro Hero 3 when I would use a class 10. The cards write speed couldn't keep up with the GoPro's capability at 1080P 60FPS. Haven't had issues with my Hero 3 or my 3+ since I upgraded to a card with a faster write speed.

 

Same here. I bought an extreme one. 90mbs write speed. But that was for 4k

 

wyoming had an epic win tonight.

 

Mine is a 64gb 80 mb/s write and 90 mb/s read. Was the fastest one I could find back in 2014 that didn't cost a ridiculous amount. No problems since.
