Spend an hour moving a mile and a half three times a week getting to work, the manual loses it's luster then. I daily drive my truck so the auto is a logical choice. After you spend time doing that you'd begin to feel the same.

    Right on

I only know rich old people that have boats and yatch

Don't have the money to be in that club, and I am ok with that

I rather daily drive a v12 FF, than own a boat

I do not think you can get a manual in the SR5 models anymore but you can in the base SR

I was a MT guy until I started towing. MT's suck towing. Especially offroad towing. Trying to maneuver a trailer offroad in tough spots, going back and forward, you have to slide the clutch and it gets burned up. Downshifting on steep passes you'll lose 2-3mph on every downshift.

I love a manual, but can't get it in the config I want, so had to go with an auto. But I still have a car to get my fun in with. The only time I really was glad to have an auto was when I hurt my back so bad I couldn't operate the clutch.

Thats why you get the sport, save money, then add an after market diff lock and suspension. Thats what I'm doing, the OR stuff isn't good anyway. The sport is offered in access cab 4x4 manual

I went to BJ's to get my free tire rotation and as I pull up, I say to the guy "want me to pull it in the bay", he says "I have to do that", so I gave him my keys. Two minutes later I can see him walking towards me from the corner of my eye and in the back of my mind I know the reason why, so he ask me "can you pull it in". Yeah, manuals are the modern days theft protection.

Yeah, I have to agree on this one. I was backing up my Tacoma with a heavy load of manure and the gear ratio is such, that I was burning up my clutch trying to get it where I wanted it. I shattered my toe bike riding and the manual transmission made my rehab back more difficult, with me still using a cane to engage the clutch to start it, because it takes so much force to push it all the way to the floor, but after that I can change gears easier. When I was having my frame spray (LSC), the dealership gave me a free loaner for 3 days and I really enjoyed the AT, so my next truck will be AT for sure.
