Navigating the clusterfuck of suspension for the 3rd time while under the gun of a ticking clock.

    Boredom...? :anonymous:

I tend to get a car, modify it immediately and then get bored and sell it. So.. I'm changing because it's an advantageous moment where out of pocket cost is minimal.. basically $50 for an AAL (or so) and the cost of a set of shocks.

So will be B110 rears a la @Crom. Dakars with AAL. 5100s in front. Maxtrac spindles. TRD Sport coils.

Ah. Did you check out Crom's posts an the Dakar droop and shock measurement? Decided on shocks yet? Rears got my nuts in an absolute twist.

Beat me to it. Good. Putting shims in? You just got rid of some, right? I'm going custom king in back.

It's like talking to a wife.

You will like that set up. If you have the urge to maintain equal wheel tracks, you'll want 0.75" spacers on the rear. Bora makes some.

    Wat

I read 1.25 spacers for the rear? .75 is good or nah?

I had those leftover after my OME install and didn't need them. Switching suspension setups is.. unplanned.

Didn't you have a super nice, built first gen that was paid for?

Or am I thinking of someone else..?

@Biscuits @DCSBFTMFW so what's this spacer shit? Spindles push the fronts outboard, and you need spacers in the rear to compensate?

The push the wheel 3/4" outboard so the front is wide compared to the narrow rear axle track width.

Some guys run spacers in front to make room for less than ideal wheel specs. Others run rear spacers so the track width is similar to the front.

Slightly disappointed for the lack of DMB.
