I know this is old, but wanted to add my two cents.
recently my truck started making the same noise as in the first video posted. Only while going forward slowly, up to about 15mph and at first not at all in reverse, wit NO vibrations at any speed.
I jacked up the rear end of the truck and set it on jack stands, chocked the front wheels. I then started the truck and put it in gear i was able to identify where the sound was coming from. All u-joints were solid and greases regularly, I should add the truck has <75k miles. the carrier bearing or at least the rubber is making the squeaking sound, I sprayed it with fluid film above and below in the slots that are there and to the front and rear where the rubber is exposed. This has effectively stopped the squeaking, and has lasted for over a week at this point. I think the truck is low mileage to replace the carrier bearing at this time but I also want to wait until there are vibrations to replace any parts.
just my $.02 on an old thread.

Stumbled across this thread searching for clues about my issue. my 2006 DCSB is doing the low speed chirping squeak noise. Both forward and reverse up to about 15ish mph. It also has a pretty noticeable shutter taking off from a stop. I got under truck and upon giving the driveshaft a good shake at the carrier, it definitely seemed like that was the source of the chirp. Now i'm hearing talk of u joints possibly causing the issue. Should i just start with replacing the bearing and replace the u joints if the sound persists?

^You need to disassemble the middle U-joint to replace the carrier bearing anyway. Might as well do both at the same time.

I did this process of elimination as well just recently. I thought it was my center/carrier bearing as well. Had the same chirping noise in forward and reverse at low speed and the shaking at 55mph+. Ordered it online cause locally it was $280. But then I thought maybe it's the ujoints. Was going to change them at the same time but I jus did my ujoints and sure enough that's what it was. Will be returning my center bearing so what was a $300 part change ended up being a $45.

After just doing the head gasket last month at 147,00km for 3700$ on our 06' 4wd Tacoma, we noticed a slight chirping noise while reversing coming from under the truck. Thanks to posts like these, I tried replacing the rear drive 3 Ujoints not knowing which might be toast, as they all seemed to be moving well, and no real play when I tried to test them at first. I grease them every 6 months no matter what so wasn't too sure what I'd find. They all looked greased when I was taking them apart until the second last one, grease was black instead of red and smelled foul. Put it all back together and the noise is gone, so too is the subtle vibration on take off every now and then.

There's a few good YouTube vids on this DIY, I studied a few. I recommend a vice over a hammer, penetrant, and a second pair of hands to help and hold stuff. Almost admitted myself to the Nuthouse after trying to do the first one solo, much easier with help to line things up and hold things. Most important!!- marked everything in a line WELL, so that you can line it all back up for balance in the end.

No more shuttering at take off, no more chirping.

I can slightly twist drive shaft either direction is this normal? I haven’t tried to hold driveshaft and twist ujoints yet

That's fine as long as the 'play' isn't across the u-joint. If you can wiggle the drive shaft across a u-joint, then you have a problem and need to replace the joint.

How long can you drive on a squealing U-Joint? Can I survive a trip this weekend? I'm planning to pack with grease and go. Thoughts?
