@ImpulseRed008 We haven't had many coyotes around since the ghetto hood went in to my west. They used to be out there all the time before that though. 0300 kills really make you snap to in the summer with the windows open.

Having a dog wasn't an issue Sue. It was the time away. Like I said 14 hours is not good for dog or human. I just wish both of them had traveled better. I think the only time they went in the car was to the vet. I tried bringing Tawney to work and had a place for her by my truck but she wined and shook the whole time to and from. Cindy was the same way but she would cower and regress.
They were both med size dogs. Carol wants a small non shedding dog but putting a dog In my pocket is not a dog but a rat IMO.. Lol.
We will see. I have a hard time paying a pound lots of money to take a dog off their hands. They say a dog reflects the owner but I don't want an old dog with a artificial hip, half blind, with an attitude.

The car is a Dirt track Dwarf car powered by a 1150cc motorcycle motor that weighs 1k lbs . These cars on a 3/8th mile track can do a low 15sec lap at 90mph . On a 1/2mile track reach speeds over 115mph at the end of the straight . These cars are just a second or slower than a 360 non wing sprint car

These cars are a blast to drive and a lot of drivers go on to race sprint cars . A lot of Sprint car drivers like to drive these cars

Here's a vid of a recent race at the PAS or Perris auto speedway

When we lived in El Cajon, after the El Cajon Speedway closed, we went to Perris a few times to watch. It's been a few years since we've been there. The kids loved the roost in turns 1&2.

We would wear full face helmets in that section of track or in the pit crew area so you wouldn't get pelted by rocks LOL!!

we run a toyota 8 bolt rear with 4.10 gear and run 3rd gear . We want to hit the rev limiter near the end of the straight

The #56 race car when we ran R1 engines we used a R6 ignition and bang the limiter at the end of the straight in 3rd gear at 11800 rpm

Sounded like it was on the limiter 1/3 down the stretch.

 human encroachment is great

you just need a dog that likes to visit places and I agree. Next dog definitely won't be Moose sized like Zoie  When you are ready for a dog, check craigslist or the classified ads for a dog.... although a pound dog likely has had shots, etc where a dog from another place likely hasn't had any vetting. But I understand your reason for not having one.

He likes a loose race car and is very fast on a dry slick track . But a lot of the teams generally run a 4.10 rear gear with 26" inch tires with a 45 percent cross weight and run 3rd gear in the transmission . I've been around these cars now for going on 17 years and they're always banging the limiter at either the middle of the straight or at then end of it

Yea they need the quick throttle to steer. Loose is fast. Just check your underwear at the door.

I remember in the 70's the local track was dirt mixture with oil I think. Anyway a chunk of dirt came up and went through the windshield on the drivers side of a car. It was not a pretty.

You should have seen the engines prior to a couple years ago before they mandated the stock engine ruling . Back then it was not uncommon to be spending $20k on a motor . Some of these motors were stroker motors with 15.1:1comp and lightened cranks and high lift cams that had a definite lope at idle

Some of these motors were making upwards of 300 hp on race fuel and they didn't live that long . I've seen many a windowed block after a heat or main event

We've always joked around saying we want to put a built Busa motor in these cars and going to a 10" wide r/rear
