The I4 Babymax is more than enough. It's a blast to drive. Much more refined than the Toyota. No contest. Everyone in my family agrees, and everyone drove both back-to-back..

The big issue is cabin comfort vs. the awesome drivetrain. We're grappling with that.

I mean if comfort were a big deal I should just get a Sierra.. Hell they're cheaper!

I struggled with the proper vernacular, but in the end my inner West Virginian won out..

Only recommendation to OP is if you buy the GM plan on holding on to it for a bit. The resale is terrible compared to the Tacoma. I learned that the hard way after buying my 14 Silverado and getting back into a taco after realizing my mistake.

I just looked up a Colorado with leather, 2.8l diesel and all the other crap and it came out to 43000!!! My sr5 4x4 DCLB was 30,500 out the door! I would get an f150 for 40000+

Why not just get a manual trans Tacoma. It seems that most of your dislike stems from the crappy auto trans drive train. I drove both and the manual is great and fun to drive. The Chevy is so ugly! Plus I don't know why you'd buy something that you can't get comfortable in. Sounds like you'd regret getting the Chevy after the newness wears off, the resale value starts plummeting, and you start to notice the little annoyances as you have with your Tacoma.

After driving a Colorado diesel for 9 months and my new Taco Pro for 1,500 miles I'd never go back to the Colorado.

Tacoma so much more fun to drive and really enjoy the inside much more.

Only thing Colorado has over the Tacoma is the engine. That's a big plus on the ole Chevy. I have 25' boat and could pull it with the Diesel. Tacoma wouldn't even think about doing.

    To each their own!!!!
