I would be ok with that.

As I interpreted it, the snorkels are sitting in a port in SoCal waiting for someone to pay for them to be released. Max dropped the ball by not being able to cover the costs for any issues (like ordering too many or people dropping out) or by not pushing Airflow to pay the fees to get the snorkels released. I don't know the proper procedures, so I don't know where the bottleneck is. I just know Max sucks at life.

That's just how I interpreted Max's updates. I could be way off, Max could be full of shit, or maybe both. There was a roundabout figure thrown around sometime after Max's last update I believe. People were guessing the cost of 100 snorkels... lol. I can't remember exactly. I think it was mentioned somewhere in the first group buy also.

Pretty sure the last GB said something like $1500 in duties to be released at port. Well under his profits if people were really waiting that long for product and the manufacturer refused to pay it.

Not if you're making $100 on 150 snorkels like he planned.

Even with 117 requested between the 50 paid last GB and the 67 from this one.. still a drop in the hat to make it a success and leave the door open for a third if things go well (again..).

He's gone through all this before, he should have been prepared to pay that and cover any additional expenses with the larger order. As mentioned before, it sounds like greed took over rational thinking.

I see several things going on after reading through pages of hate and discontent.

    1) So far no confirmtation on order status ( If Airflow has received an order, shipped it out or is delayed, if it's been paid for or is sitting in SoCal)

    2) Cost of each Snorkel ( there has to be an upcharge from Max to be able to ship these out on his own time and dime. I had someone quote me shipping on one and it was like $60 or something. Since everyone else is running on assumptions, I'd assume a shipping charge tacked onto the actual price from airflow was included in the $335)

    3) There are a lot of assumptions with little to no facts. There are some very intriguing coincidences though.

    4) First group buy was delayed by several months. Tracking numbers from these shipments could possibly be retraced to find out what the original cost of shipping was.

    5) @tcBob, a moderator, has said he is in contact with Max and is working towards a resolution and will update when he has something.

Based on a few of these things, could we just stop the pages of shit talking that the OP is obviously either ignoring or not getting due to whatever, and wait until we hear from TcBob? If he finds there is some malicious activity afoot, I see no reason why not to make a formal complaint or threat of a formal complaint regarding the issue to the appropriate persons or agencies.

If the threats and trash talking continue, I feel another Ferguson may be at hand. Although @DCSBFTMFW may continue the anger fueled trash talking because, based on prior threads, I feel that this is just his way of communicating. Its like trying to speak to a circus bear, his intentions are good, but he's just going to growl loudly at you because he's an animal.

I don't think anybody is going to do another group buy for one of these unless the cost goes to actual cost.

I'm cheap as shit but if you told me for $30 more I could have something to my door in 3 days vs waiting 4+ months...

Depends on which posts you read, I guess.

Anyway.. if Bob wanted this locked up until he had info together he'd have done so. Until then, this is what the thread is. Pissed off people who either lost money by putting faith in OP who clearly doesn't care, and people who either pissed off for those people getting the shaft, or about OP being a piece of shit.

Some understand it more than others, let's say.

And assemble information that effects a large group in a situation where legal action is warranted and valid.

But what do I know? I'm a circus bear.

And I'm hungry for feeble, lady sheep who are afraid of straight communication, Rusty. :hungry:

I agree on venting, but I guess I just don't quite get it yet. The time frame the OP said they'd be here by and the time they were ordered, or when he said the order would be put in, was like three weeks. I put 0 stock in the fact that he'd have them here and then to the purchasers house in that short time. These things are coming on a pallet and need to cleared by customs and customs, can't due anything in a timely matter.

Then there's the 100 order changed from the original 50. It, or something confusing like it was posted on the front page and no one seemed to mention it, or maybe I missed it.

There's also the original group buy which, with the exception of the lack of communication, we're still on track with the shipping timeline.

I guess it's just me, but I'm not going to get worked up over it until I know what is fact, which at this point, is not much. I am a little upset with the 50 to 100 extension which got slipped in there somehow, but I'll wait until @tcBob, who is actually communicating with the guy and getting answers, says what's what.

Until then, I'll stage my torch and pitchfork by the door and leave the lighter in the truck. Once I know what's going on, I'll gladly drive the hour to give him the what for.
