yea we got all that settled, for the center bushing I didnt have a super hard time getting that bolt out with a long pipe on the end of a ratchet (It was really on there though). And for the bushing I just cut the bottom lip of the bushing and then used a bolt and some channel locks and it came out no problem. The main difficulty was just getting the rack out far enough. Ended up just prying it until it fell below the bracket. Got the center bushings on easy but used the larger sleeve (probably should've bored out the smaller one and used that but whatever) and then got those drivers side bushings in 90% of the way after really manhandling them for a long time. Cant say this was as easy as I was expecting lol

Thank you! I am currently running Bilstien 5100s and Eibach 620lb springs on the front. And in the rear I am running OME Dakars for a 89-95 Toyota pickup with 3* axle shims to correct driveline angle. The rear is using 11in stroke Bilstein 5125 shocks. It's not an ideal setup but it does work. I'll be putting in Light Racing upper arms with Icon Extended Travel coilovers (600lb) very soon for the front. Just need the time to install it really. In the rear I'll be relocating both shocks to the rear of the axle angled inward so I can utilize a smaller stroke and fine tune their stiffness. The whole truck will likely be lowered about .5 to .75in in the front and about 1.75-2.0in in the rear when I install the coils. It's too tall right now and I'd like everything to sit closer to the middle of its available travel for comfort and handling.

did you add the shim as a precaution or did you notice driveshaft noise/issues? I kinda wanna add some just as a precaution.

I did it because those with my level of rear lift have reported vibes on the highway. I have zero driveline vibrations, but all of that could change when I lower it. To put it in perspective my rear lift when new was around 4.25-4.5in so it was excessive and the driveline was really angled. If you don't feel any vibes then don't worry, unless you trash ujoints frequently or something there's nothing to worry about. I have a ujoint on its way out but even then, no vibes to speak of just the occasional metallic ping noise.

That's actually almost what I'm planning on getting. I was going to get 5100s in the front with eibachs or ome coils and 5125 in the rear with a normal dakar leaf pack. I just don't know which 5125s I need yet. I wanted a more travel than a 5100 but I don't have the cash for Kings or Icons.

Save yourself the kidney and lower back problems and pair the OME coils with the OME front shocks. They ride very nicely together and provide adequate lift for most obstacles. If I were to start over on a budget that would be what I went for. Someone can help you figure out the right OME spring for how much weight you have and how much lift you'd like. 5125s are still a good choice for the rear though, as the OME Nitrocharger rears tend to run a bit short (due to the location of the stock mounts and the shorter leaf geometry of the 95-97 trucks). Don't bother ordering rear shocks until you've measured the compressed and drooped lengths with your new leafs. Not something you can accurately estimate beforehand.

I'm pumped to put in my Icons, just too damn busy to get to it. :anonymous:

I'm going to get 882s probably, I plan on making a tube bumper and maybe mount a winch on it eventually. It will be stiff until I get some extra weight. The 881s would sag with it I think. I have looked for others with the 5125s paired with dakars and which they got but I don't know of anyone yet. I wish I could get some Icons, what did you get?

882s sounds like they would be a decent choice, a winch will make a big difference as your hanging 60-80lbs off the front so it would calm it down for sure. I'd still recommend putting the 882s on the OME front shocks rather than 5100s. I bought a used pair of Icon Extended Travel front coilovers off another member on here. Just gotta swap coils to 600lbs and put in new lower heim joints and throw them in.

Otherwise they are good to go... here is more info on them...

I'll pobably get the nitrochargers for the front then, they aren't much more than 5100s. I'm going to see if any members here have any of the components without much use for sale as I'm on a tight budget since it's Christmas time and I have a lot of other things to replace on the truck and my car.
