My coworkers ecoboost gets 20-21mpg consistently, the guy in AM OPs has a brand new Tundra TRD PRO who gets 13-16mpg consistently, think your a bit confused on that aspect. Not to mention the tech and what you get for your money in the F150 over the dated Tundra, wont argue the resale, Toyota wins there, but there's a reason Tundras linger on the lots and are behind in sales even compared to Fiat/Ram. Fit an finish on the Tundra is also a lot better imo.

I wouldn't own a Ford, Nissan or a Fiat if someone gave one to me.

The front seats are very hard and oddly shaped. You can feel the front bolster edge pretty pronounced on the back of your legs.

Maybe best described as sitting on a hard plastic chair, whereas the Tacoma is like fitting into a cockpit- cradled.

My wife and I drove 3,500 in 4 days earlier this month in the Taco, and I did another 1,200 last week.

I know I could not do that in the Colorado seats. My wife agreed.

The only one that liked the Colorado seats better was my 17yo son, but at that age I could sleep on a wooden bench in the back of a deuce and a half, lol.

Looks like its 2nd gen for the win !
I do know it was painful when you hit Utah and do 80 mph if your worried about mpg.
Doing 55mph down the coast from Oregon to California it was great, 20 mpg for sure.
    Tacoma looks better imo, tougher.

Interesting. I'll have to grab a Colorado key at the shop tomorrow and put some miles on it before I fully decide on a zr2

I'm no expert, but the canyon leather seats look different/better than the Colorado seats.

Nice to see honest opinions on the two trucks, with the fan boy comments kept at bay.

The Colorado/canyon's look so much better with a levelling kit and chin spoiler thrown far far away.

The main reason I own a Tacoma is because people will pay cray cray prices for used ones.
2014 2nd gens are going for what they sold for new. 2013-2014 dclb Trd sport's are going for mid 30's! That's all they were new for Christ sakes.

I paid 6k for my 2005 and after I get the frame replaced I know I can get 12-14k out of it! My 2004 with a rebuilt title and frame patched sold in 2 hours on kijiji, full asking price, no haggle. It had issues my old Chevy never had, but I can't draw conclusions from one Tacoma.

Get the write up from another chevy dealership and take it in with you.

Thats what I did with my 2016 Sierra SLT towards a 2017 tacoma and a 2016 prius.

Once they see that other dealerships are giving you what you want and you might take thier deal. They will pony up.

Hmm... very interesting. Find another one close by. In my experience, chevy will do just about anything to make a sale. They have so many rebates and things. Teacher/educator discounts, etc etc

Well it was for a used 2015 Tacoma, was trying to trade my 2016, told them all I wanted was the same offer I already got (fair trade bottom end), they wouldn't come close, KBB instant cash offer on my truck is $30.2k, they offered me $26.5k and wouldn't budge. I didnt even try to negotiate price on new truck or anything. Ridiculous.

    Carmax? Maybe?

Ive done that. Sold it to carmax then turned around and was able to negotiate a better deal anyway.

Well everyone has to start somewhere in life

Unless you are Armenian of course. Then you start your life in a $80k M4 or a $100k G wag gen that your corrupt parents bought for you

I'm 31, far from just starting. Getting there I hope, passing up the opportunity for OTS to pursue my dreams of becoming a DPT once this enlistment is up, started grad school. Hoping that gamble pays off.
