I read at least some time back possible, is this passable 2wd? Lifted and on 285s.

ive personally seen 2wd trucks make it through. you will have to hit certain obstacles hard and you will want to go when it is dry. also good tires would be a must. you may even want to air down being you are 2wd. but there is only a few obstacles on the main trail where 4wd makes it easier allowing you to ease over them instead of hitting them hard. just don't go alone or at least have a recovery system incase you get in a situation.

First part- entering from Richland is toughest. I do not reccommend 2wd, but in our group on 12/17- we can all help.

Agreed! Must be dry-er. Many, many stream crossings.

Agreed here too! Can never have enough training on this.

Yeah was definitely thinking Dec. might not be best first outing time, but it has been super dry, hopefully not by then. We need Rain!. Might have a locker by spring, cause I want to extend my beach sessions. I limit them to really packed fall and winter currently.
Who knows I'll keep in touch, and improve my recovery points first.

Some changes coming over the next few weeks. But here's some pics from our last trip and tree hunting with the fam. Was hoping to camp this weekend but the burn ban is still in effect.

Starting to make some changes... and a quick fridge review: Engel vs. ARB

After deciding to pull the camper shell and run a tonneau and bed rack I knew I needed to swap out fridge sizes too. I sold the Engel 45 and picked up an ARB 37. I would have gone with the ARB 63 but didn't want to buy a new slide.

Here's some initial impressions. The Engel appears to be built with more durable materials and I think will last longer and take more abuse. It has full metal construction. The ARB is mostly plastic. The ARB is substantially lighter (almost 20lbs). Obviously the ARB will last, I just don't see it lasting as long as the Engel. I liked how the Engel had one compartment and also a green rubber mat in the bottom. The ARB does have a drain plug and the "fruit" compartment does make it seem like a larger fridge. The ARB also has a feature to save your batter from completely draining. I left the Engel on this summer (85*) and it drained my Northstar in just over 2-days. We'll see how the ARB does with battery consumption but probably not until next summer. Both are high quality pieces I just think so far I prefer the Engel.

I also picked up a new Access TonnoSport Tonneau cover. I needed something that fit between the bed rails so I can still run the RCI bedrack (when it gets here). I'll have to do some cutting but it shouldn't be bad. My main concern was if the ARB would fit as measured and work under the tonneau. Well it fits like a glove. I'll try to post a video on here or Instagram.
