    Kakwvu,
As to your question yes, the R/T is like a hybrid between M/T & A/T. I know they are only offering 25 sizes over 15in. to 22in rims. Quieter on the highway than the M/T, has a 45k treadlife warranty. Aired down I would say they hold a bead very well and havend had any issues as far as chunking or cupping. Tread depth is pretty tall at about 16/32nds. Downside is it tosses gravel out from between tread blocks if you travel roads with rocks small enough to get in there and jump on the highway immediately, not an issue with mudflaps/flares. I see you have a 2016 OR, if you're running the stock wheels they only come in 265/75r16 (31.6x11.2) E rated which weigh just under 53lbs. per tire-good news is they dont take much weight to balance at all and roll really well, are made in the USA at the Georgia plant. I personally never warranted one for quality control issues. Mostly heavy gauge nails/screws, and they were still holding plenty of air, still pluggable and drivable-some people just preferred to have the tire replaced. Might want to look into a tire that comes in a D or maybe C load rating unless you like a stiff 10 ply E rating. The only D rated R/Ts are in 37in. sizes.

I vote for the Toyo tire line , I have the RT on my 16 4Runner , and getting the AT ll for my new Tacoma. I think Toyo has the highest quality tire on the market right now. With Nitto a close second.
I had the original Toyo AT tires on my 05 4runner and they were awesome in all respects.

I have the TRD Baja Beadlock wheels on my truck, same size as stock wheels. The AT comes in C-rating while the RT comes in E. I'm not terribly worried about the rating as much as I am the quality and versatility of the tire (came from a '15 WRX that road stiff with obnoxious road noise).

    Thanks for the in-depth response.

Of the two would you take the ST Maxx over the AT2's?

How about these tires, are they any good, I'm thinking about this tire. They advised in Walmart. My stock size is 265/75/16 will they fit.

Good reviews on here about them but a 285 tire will rub I believe.

If I had to pick between the two, I would pick the maxx for my needs. If I wasn't off-roading regularly, then I'd pick the AT2 because they're lighter, which means better mpg.

Another vote for the Nitto Terra Grapplers, I have 10k miles on mine and they've been very good. I use them for beach, fire and logging roads and my 40 mile daily round trip on the interstate. They're much cheaper than the KO2s and are available in a C size..

What is the purpose of their use?

Are you look for a P tire that is stock or move up to LT tires?

From first hand experience, I ran BFG A/Ts for many years then replaced them with Michelin LTX AT/2 and will use General Grabbers. Have not looked back at BFG since. My tires are used for DD, Snow and Offroad/Overland.

I recognize that tread. Michelin LTX AT2, same tires I run.
