Evening folks... Here is the GoPro video of the trail run this weekend. It's about an hour long running at 2.5 x speed. If you take a peek, make sure that you can hear it. I added a sound track that I really enjoy.

The most difficult section of the trail is about 30 minutes in.

 

Its a matter of cost. $100 for a motel is too much, we have gotten used to the 14 hours on the road.
We are in my wife's Subie, much better Gas milage than the toy, but she won't let me drive.

I don't like those long driving days anymore. I don't travel as well as I use to. I don't like the hotel bill either, but I'll take that over the pain of driving much past 8 or 9 hours and my wife doesn't drive much after dark. If we absolutely have to do it, we will, but not if we don't have to...and I do most.of the driving. Her Silverado only gets about 18 mpg, the Wrangler gets almost 25 mpg and not sure what the Tacoma does yet. Had it the better part of a month and haven't put gas in it yet.

 

I hate not driving, but it is her car and she drove the whole way. didn't feel well going through the winding coastline but she wouldn't let me drive or slow down...until the Leo pulled her over

good morning I know it's Monday but have a nice day

 

Dusting of snow here. They're getting up to a foot in NW Ct.
Wind is cranking up too, 35-40 mph later.
No woods walk today with widow makers lurking about.

 

Wind was howling Saturday afternoon while I was hunting there were limbs crashing down everywhere around me

 

21degrees and about 7 inches of snow. no wind to speak of. still snowing today

Good morning and happy short week Monday. 21 here this morning also but just a trace of snow this morning and getting up to 39 today. Dodged the bullet on that one and looking like in the 30's this week so looking good. Next week even see a 40* in there. Might be able to get out with the dog and chase some ruffs yet before the year is over. But right now feels good sitting in the recliner with the heating pad LOL.
