Up until now, I've been using the stock wheels and tires that came with the truck when I bought it back in October of 2013.

But this year, thanks to the wheels I bought from @Nimble9 planning on doing that. They are 17" Sport wheels painted black, with Blizak tires on them.

But I just called a local tire shop (Town Fair Tire), since I can't put them on myself, and now they are telling me they can't do it because I didn't buy the tires from them, and because of the TPMS sensors. But I called a while back and they said they would. FML.

 

TFT sucks. They pulled that shit with me too. So I've never done business with them. I was going to buy tires from them, but they wouldn't mount them because I didn't buy the wheels from them.

 

Yeah... might have to reconsider going with them. They weren't the most expensive place when I called around a while back, but they weren't the cheapest either. Was going with them because they aren't too far from my house.

I had a good experience with NTB this past weekend. They were one of the recommended installers from Tire Rack and, when I bought the tires, they had a quote of $88 to mount and balance the tires. I dropped off the wheels and they wrote it up as 'Winter Tire Changeover' so it only cost me $55. Do you have an NTB near you?

What's NTB?! And they might have done it because you bought them through Tire Rack, and I think when it comes to that, most places work with them so they do it. In my case it might be a bit harder.

I spoke with a rep at Icon a few weeks ago - this year they will not be doing a sale for the holiday so whatever normal everyday sale price vendor's give you is about as low as it will go. Normally manufacturers deepen the discounts to their vendors so they can drop the price a bit but Icon like a few awesome companies out there enforces their MAP policy so normal everyday sales are limited in general.

@mach1man001 - I ordered Relentless hi-lift and shovel mounts and a pelfrybilt Group 31M battery cage. Also just bought some used Rigid D Series Midnight pods for the ditch lights.

I just might have to, and cough up a bit more money. At least they'll do it correctly. Going to call them in a few. And works out since the service shop is literally down the road from my house.

Basically zero. I had maybe a strong dusting but seems the rain/snow line flash froze or something. Black ice everywhere, both 89 and 93 got CLOSED this morning. CLOSED!!?!?! In this day and age the highway gets friggin' closed.
