Remember to baby the hell out of it on the way to the dealership. Do you have a AFR gauge installed? It would be nice to know the ratios before and after the reflash.

No price quote, I did the appointment online. Probably should call and ask. And will do.
Unfortunately my gauges still aren't here. Speedhut is taking their time getting them to me. I got a UPS ship notification and I believe they are supposed to be here Wednesday. Which doesn't leave me much time to install. Its not a far drive, and will be easy to keep it out of boost taking the side roads.

URD goodies shipping today. Picked up the charger from FedEx last Thursday. No Magnuson embossing on the housing, but engraved on the rotor housing.

Anyone else notice that one of the packing documents enclosed was a Genuine Toyota Parts warranty?

No idea. I guess it's a little more subtle this way.

My guess is that there was a run of SC's made after TRD discontinued their branded one that used a "blank" casting, then a new cast was created with the Magnuson branding.

My issue with the removal was trying to hand crank the pulley off. Once I put the impact on it to break the seal, it came off quickly. Putting the new pulley on was an effort. I had to find a strap wrench to hold the pulley as I hand cranked the URD press bolt. I stripped out the bolt where the Allen key screw is inserted. Once I retreaded the bolt and took my time with the press, it pressed on nicely.

I also did it with the charger bolted to the vehicle. When @loginfailed did his it was on a work bench. I was unable to get my impact on with the charger on the vehicle. For those who ordered the 2.85 pulley you may have better luck with the impact and on a work bench.

When it's on the truck, you may have the radiator support running interference.

Not to throw a turd in the punchbowl - but aren't any of you 2.85 pulley installers concerned with voiding your warranty?

I'm not against the idea - might install myself - but I think I'd want to put a few thousand on the S/C first to make sure it beds in properly.

Legit question, but nah, I'm not.

The "undercover" 2.85 pulley is black, stamped the same way as the OEM 3.0, and even says 3.0 on the face. The diameter difference is also just 5%, so visually they're the identical. Unless the tech whips out a caliper, they're not going to know.

If the dealership is going to try to void your warranty, they're going to go after the low hanging fruit.

If anything I would wait on the smaller pulley only so that I could get that feeling of being supercharged all over again after getting used to the regular pulley, lol.
