I wasn't knocking clear bras at all. They're right up there with spray on options. My signature car has a spray on:thumbsup: I'll have to check out xpel next spring.

Yeah but your friends advice is out of date. I don't want you to deter someone from a good option based on bad info

IMG_0138.jpg I use one on my hotrod and have never had a problem with it damaging my 15k paint job. To be honest though I've never driven it that kind of distance. This I bought from a real reputable company called Wardlow Kustom Masks. (Yes they spell with a "k")

That's really nice of you to pick up the dog! Don't listen to the negative comments--people don't realize that pets dying in a cargo hold is way too frequent. Hope your truck takes little damage on the trip.

I wish I had pictures of my old Jetta. Got ruined by putting one of those stupid bras on it.

I had an imperfection in mine on the taco, and they redid it no problem. Had a 3 year old one taken off a car a couple years ago and no problems. My detailer does them all the time and says they're perfectly safe

That a clear bra is going to damage the car. The new stuff installed by someone who knows what they're doing is fine. My guy clay bars and buffs the car before install

... but he didn't say that?

In context, his first sentence referred to the old-style vinyl fabric bras. Then he offered clear bra / plastidip as the better choice.

Fly there and rent a car to return home. Unless you dog is a nut case, probably travels better than most kids.
