Exactly, there are some modifications that would cause you to fail inspection, just like there are some modifications that you could make to a firearm that would not be advisable. But performance modifications, creature comfort add ons are all at the discretion of the end user.

 

The s&w m+p ma compliant triggers are so bad. Sucks to have to spend an extra $125 to make it shoot like it should

 

collapsible stock, removable flash hider/compensator etc etc..... dumb MA.

 

I ended up not buying one because of the trigger. Dry fired 4 or 5 different Compact 9mm, and with the added cost of modding the trigger, the M&P lost out.

 

Up here we aren't allowed to have full auto or silencers unless you get gubmint permission.

Full auto is almost impossible, but I wouldn't want it anyway. Too much money in ammo.

 

Sig instead? I know a few who did the same and ended up with sigs. Granted ones DA, ones DA/SA etc.. But the cost of the apex kit+ s&w was about the same as a sig that fires nicely out of the box

 

I get jealous sometimes, mainly b/c I know I can never get a gun. These days I would feel safer with one.

 

No, but I want to get a Sig, at some point. I picked up A Ruger SR9c, super affordable at the time, nice trigger, and its been super reliable, and you can run any ammo through it without malfunction.

Silencers might change though. Hopefully they pass the hearing act law.

 

I'd like to see it passed. It's logical, if you do any shooting.

But, it's logical, so it probably won't.

People think they're like Hollywood guns, where there's a little 'pft' and that's it.
