I think when he says "THE GAME" he means Michigan/tOSU. That game is far from meaningless this year.

The Iron Bowl is not meaningful. Not this year.

I have no doubt that people get tired of the old, especially with LSU's relaxed approach on his future previously. But with him at a new program, it will generate interest from top recruits in the SE.

 

Some of them are good at the football. Don't love all of the noon games.

 

Step-Dad is OSU alum so I always follow them. And being a 49ers and Gators fan I follow the coaches.

Today Tennessee coach Butch Jones was asked about the senior class and how it never won a championship (of any kind). His response was gold...

You are correct.........I hope Michigan wins but I don't think they will. I think their QB may still be hurt. I look for saban and meyer to play each other again in the playoffs. Maybe it will be for the natty should they both make it and it is paired that way.

To follow-up on something from earlier...

I had no idea that the Michigan/Ohio State game was actually referred to as "The Game" until today. I'm not sure how I went 34 years on this earth not knowing that.

 

I have never heard that either. From my understanding "the Game" has always been Harvard vs. Yale every year.

*After looking I guess both use that term. Obviously Harvard and Yale is older.
