So I am on my way to work this morning and I get an email from PayPal saying that I've been refunded $339 for my Axle and brakes for the trailer. Apparently the company cancelled the order. Now I have a free axle and set of brakes for my trailer :D

Hahaha beats me bro! I never cancelled the order. I received it from FedEx and obviously started assembling everything and then this morning I got that email saying southwest wheel company refunded me my whole amount of $339 lol

I'm sorrrrryyyyy!!!! Haha I am waiting on some shorter bolts that connect my leaf springs to the hangars. The ones I ordered were too long and I couldn't tighten them up. Once I get that all tight I'll have the trailer up on its wheels!! Hopefully mid week this week.

Hahaha they're not all thread bolts! There is no thread where I need it to be so

    1. Put a bunch of washers there so I can get the nut out to where the thread starts
    2. Get new bolts since I have no way of threading the rest of the bolts haha

    This build is fucking brilliant.

I think that I'm going to do the same for my New England/Maritime Canada/Labrador/Northern Quebec trip in two years. Cooking lounging inside, and add an RTT.

I'd better start looking for a trailer.

    Subbed on this one.

Thanks buddy! I've seen a couple other people do it and I was like that would be perfect for me and my little family. Big enough to sleep in and be warm but small enough to take on light trails and stuff!

Wow. Wish they refunded my axle return... been 3 weeks since it was DELIVERED to them and they said they put the refund through last Thursday. Still no money. I called today and bitched at them so hopefully I get it.

    Hey, no ,and thank you!

There will only be two of us, so I'm thinking going to go with a smaller version like a 4 x 8, or even a 4 x 6.

A buddy of mine has an older one of these that he'll lend me to try out the small trailer concept first. It's the small trailer on the right in this photo (without the rear deck):

    http://www.roamingtimes.com/rvreports/2/quicksilver-6.0-tent-camper.aspx

Heck, I might even end up buying that and change the axles and tires, since my wife will no longer sleep on the ground, and run everything else off/out the back of my truck. Who knows?

That would be way cool! I like that thing in the pictures. It's nice cuz it is low and it will keep Center of Gravity low. That's the only thing I'm sacrificing with mine is that it'll be a little tall but I ain't tryin to do the rubicon with my trailer behind me lol. When/if you start this build be sure to tag me cuz I'll definitely wanna be sub'd
