Any woodworkers?

I hit a big knot and the router kinda jumped and rotated in my hands but I didn't really realize the bit had come out till there was no resistance to my sideways pressure on the bit bearing that wasn't there anymore

I found the router bit in the corner of the shop

 

That's scary

 

Reminds me of that scene from Home Improvement where Tim uses a router and it gets away from him.

Ah, gotcha. Say no more; they always cause problems.

 

Shoot. Carbide blades. LOL. My father in laws friend/farmhand extraordinaire/ retired farmer was helping us build another deer fortress last month. Of course my FIL has to steel side everything he does. Anyways, Mike, the friend, is convinced the best way to cut steel siding is with a skillsaw, crosscut blade mounted backwards. Admittedly it works pretty well. Anyhoo, instead of installing the old steel blade that has been designated for such duty from the wall, which is clearly 100 miles (inches) away and not worth the effort to walk too, takes a perfectly good carbide tipped blade currently installed in the saw, promptly mounts it backwards, and hands it to me to begin cutting. I didn't really notice at first the extra supersonic metal bits flying off from the normal supersonic metal bits flying off, until maybe a few began bouncing around like they were maybe a little heavier than normal. I stopped, looked at the blade, and well, there was some cursing involved. I was told to suck it up.

 

I'm hoping for 4 days in the shop. Looking to build a double bed for the spare room.

The magic coin bank. The kid drops a coin into the drawer, pushes it in, pulls it back out and the coin is gone!
The drawer bottom is a trap door that opens when the drawer is pushed in.
