They seem to have pretty good reviews and are slightly more aggressive than a traditional highway tire. Might be perfect for the tundra that rarely sees dirt roads.

I did get my best gas mileage ever while I had those. I once got over 22 MPG's with them coming back from upstate NY

haha same with mine. 4cyl would nudge 23mpg on the highway with them. but only expect 40-45k usable miles

That's just it, I never bothered before for obvious reasons..easier to just stop and pay the 8 or so times per yr I ever needed it. Now that this lovely state yet again forces us to do something by which they can track and monitor us, and makes it a downright royal pain in the skull not to do as they say...ugh

Yeah, I've got them. Not sure how many miles I have on them now, but I'm happy with them. They're wearing well, do great on and off road, and the price was also very good.

I have only had them in the snow once, and they're not nearly as good as my Yokohama snow tires. Very apparent when braking. Not sure how they compare to any other ATs in the winter.

I got my best ever with them too--just under 24 MPG driving through Virginia.

I remember I drove through one of those overhead tolls without an EZ pass once and panicked. I called the NH folks and the lady said "No problem, we just send you a bill.". I got a bill in the mail for the cost of the toll, no fine, with a big heading "Thank you for using the NH turnpike." That was a while back, though.

I have an EZPass now. Got it when I drove to NC because I figured I'd get sick of stopping at toll booths and dealing with cash. Incidentally, the only tolls were in NY and NJ.

Fun fun fun. So definitive proof my Beat to crap 1/4 million mile Tacoma is still the most realiable vehicle I Or my GF own or have owned. Mustang just had the starter fail. So I got to spend 2hrs beating and prying on the solenoid to get it to fire.

But to date it's lived 15 years 7 with me and nothing major yet. During that time we have had among other things.

02 civic body headliner failure, tranny fail, and a bunch of other things
06 mustang blown motor (since replaced and starter just ate it)
    13 forester (bad smallblock)
12 focus (bad tranny and misfire)

Makes more sense, but would be considerably less awesome.

It would be easier to change the spark plugs on a small block than the flat 4...

Good thing about Subaru is that all their engines mount the same. So just drop an STI engine into it.

Haha, not the Ferd 5.4! That thing was a nightmare for a lot of people.

Not one that you'd shoehorned into a Forester...

Hmmm, I'm not so sure. The plugs on wifey's XT are right along the frame rail. Only has about 1" or so to fish the coil pack out. It's one of those jobs that I'll farm out and if you knew me, you know that it never happens. All of the service, other than warranty, I do myself except for transmission rebuilds . The dam frame rail in the XT needs a hole in it so that I can get at the plugs from the wheel wells like the old 429 Mustangs. Many moons ago, I one put a 400 small block in a 80 Monte Carlo that had a 231 V6. Talk about tight... The top bell housing bolts were held in place with a rubber band until the engine was dropped in and then they were turned 1/6 at a time with an open end wrench... It felt like it took all day to tighten the bolts.

Forget the H4s. Try changing plugs on an Outback H6. Not fun!
