    You shouldn't have to shim with an AAL or any lift in the rear up to about 2". This would include the Dakar pack with the 3rd leaf removed (which I firmly believe is the best choice).

    Seized LCA bushings will make a harsh squeak/ pop noise when you flex the front.

    The LCA that will give you the most travel, best adjustability, and an easily greasable and replaceable ball joint is the SPC LR UCA. It's also the least expensive of the high quality aftermarket replacement UCAs.

    I would still pull the cam bolts and grease them while you're in there. They all seize eventually. With all new parts, it's a pricey fix. I had $350 into new hardware and a few hundred into used LCAs. The old ones had to be cut out. I had a few hundred in labor to my mechanic for the work.
