We'll be heading out to Borrego Springs to spend some time with some friends and do day trips into Anza-Borrego/Ocotillo.

 

Real-talk, i'll be heading up to the mountains from Denver to visit my family. If anyone in the state/area wants to hit some trails next wednesday on my way up, I'm down. Looking at hagerman pass, pretty sure mosquito is closed back up at this point

 

Still in St. Louis but plan to be there in the Tacoma.

 

Anyone run hankook rt03? Seems like everyone runs mtr only lol

 

Ive ran that tire for both a 33 and 35, about 65k total miles with the RT03. My 35s are finally starting to get low after 40k or so, probably go about 10k easy but I have a set of 37 inch MTRs waiting to go on, hoping for the same results between the 2 tires

 

Would you say the 35s run small? Can't find any info on weight either

 

They run pretty true to size. Weight for E is 70ish pounds, pretty heavy but what 35 isn't in a load E

 

Are you geared??

 

I am now but 98% of those miles are stock gearing

 

Packing up in Colorado to head back to Oregon soon after over two weeks on the road, a week in grand staircase escalante national monument and a week in Colorado! Some quick edits from the trip..

 

I ran them in 285's. Liked them a lot

 

Anyone want to show off your rear seat shelf/storage area? Got someone lurking here building their first expedition rig and wanting to pull out their AC rear seats and build storage. Looking for ideas.

I like this a lot. I might have to do something similar in my doublecab. Storage/dog platform with a good spot to mount a fridge... screw human passengers, they can walk.

Lots of room in there. Takes advantage of existing room that was under seats. We can keep stuff hidden on rear floor area under platform. We don't want anybody riding back there anyway.

 

Maybe in the spring. That gives me this whole cold dark winter to plan it out.

On another note, fridge should be here like next week. Wont be warm enough for a fridge to be useful for 6 months. I timed this poorly.

 

Its my beer fridge in the garage when not in use. lol

 

If it gets too cold coolers can keep your stuff from freezing.

 

That's a great point. Kept our drinks from freezing last winter.
