It's a very good thing we live in such an honest world. Always believe what you read by manufacturers. They would never tell a lie. Horsepower ratings they're so truthful ha:fingerscrossed::crapstorm::facepalm:

I have a 2007 FJ Cruiser. I bought the 1st generation CAI for it that was made by AFE but the item is clearly marked TRD. When the rubber gaskets started to dry rot I just ordered new ones from AFE. It appears they made the later TRD intakes for Toyota as well. I will be buying one of the AFE for my TRD Tacoma when I pick it up next month. It will not affect your warranty.

Just installed my aFe intake. Yeah, sounds a little beefier under the hood, not to loud though. Will post some pics tomorrow when I get the scoop in, and installed. Will be leaving to go on a hunting trip tomorrow evening, so should get a good chance to see if there's any change in mpg.

@Swiftks - curious if the butt dyno feels any positive change in the mid-low RPM range. There was some positive anecdotal (yet empirical) evidence of improvement earlier in the thread (e.g., engine able to hold a gear on a certain hill always driven, where it wasn't able to before, etc)

Everything in it's place, where it should be... Had the intake on for 1 day before scoop came in. Was running intake with both holes open, scoop seems to have quited it down a bit.

    20161117_160545.jpg

Damn rubber coupling that connects the scoop to the box could stand to be about a inch wider... Kept pulling it off one or the other... Finally got it more or less even on each peice, but took a while.

Is there any guidance on what to do with that scoop in heavy rain? Looks risky

I got mine for $350 last week from autoanything... Just chat with them and tell them you wanted to use your 20% coupon for signing up for email notifications. They'll tell you, sorry it can't be used for aFe products, at which time you should say something like, well that was the whole reason I signed up for it in the first place... Can you do $350? Then they'll ask if you've seen it somewhere that price, and I said, no but I can get the TRD Pro Intake at that price and I didn't want to spend over $350, thus the 20% coupon. They'll check with their manager, and approve it... At least that's how I got mine approved. Then make sure the scoop is included, as this special wasn't running last week... Bastards!

I had something very similar to that on my '02 T4R (K&N called it the FIPK-fuel injection performance kit). Very noisy, I honestly hated it and feel I lost power with it installed.

Hey so was just a joke because Autoanything is saying its a doctored pictures and they never offered this? If it wasn't a joke, I'd love for you to PM me your order number so I can prove them wrong. They won't honor it for me which sucks.

So turns out this is seemingly BS Autoanything never ran this promo however AFE is running this promo if ordered direct through AFE. The cost is $426.00 for the intake and scoop with free shipping
