So if lube causes damage to bearings maybe I should drain all my oil and replace it with parts/carburetor cleaner so it lasts longer

 

They are probably coming at it from the angle of lube attracts dirt and grit even dry teflon and therefore increases wear.

I don't agree just saying that's probably their standpoint

No lubricate is recommended, it’s a dry bearing. We will we offering a grease-able ball joint as an alternative to the uni-ball but that won’t be available until April.
