Anyone know if there is a way to swap out just this socket that burnt up? Do they even make a piece I could swap this out for? Any help would be great! Thanks

    Please tell us what happened,
    A) so we dont buy that product
    B) learn from other peoples mistakes lol.

I would think you are SOL unless you can get that peice out and maybe get it 3d printed or get a part# from dealer. There are lots of local companies in most cities that will 3d print one off designs for price by size/ material used or time to print.

It was just my stupidity and didn't have the bulb twisted on all the way and I assume while driving it wiggled out while bulb was on and melted the outer portion.
I already got a new headlight in but was wondering if I could maybe salvage this one.

Does the melted portion twist out or unscrew? My thought is a new headlight, or mail it to a retrofit headlight shop and get it retrofitted with some hida or something. Probably the same price in the end.

You could also check the trd pro parts thread and see if anyone who swapped out there headlights wants to sell you a pair.

Man I wouldn't think that should get hot enough to melt the plastic

That's what I was hoping if anyone knew also... the little plastic things around it are to brittle to even grab a hold of and twist... I'm assuming there has to be a way to get it out I just don't know how it comes out.
