Got the UCA's on finally today. And got the coil bucket gussets tacked on.



I think I forgot to post that I got my spindle gussets welded on too the other day.

 

Well. Got one side together mostly haha

It's ok, I call her bro all the time

 

So the weather being all single digits prevented progress, but today it warmed back up to 50 so Dad got one side buttoned up while I was at work! Tomorrow the other side...we might actually be mobile tomorrow!

 

Where are you placing the limit straps?

 

We're going to weld them on after we get the gussets fully welded on. Dad's going to do the limit straps with his welder.

 

Ok. A little tip if you didn't already know. Get a small piece of 3/16 plate about 2.5"x2.5"-3"x3" it's up to you. Weld the mount to that plate and then weld the plate to the frame of the truck. You'll be able to beef up the weld on the mount to the plate and have a better welding area from the plate to the frame.

Found a pic. Something like this. It doesn't have to be this big. And you could trim the side to fit anywhere around the frame.

Yeah your right. I actually put mine between the coil bucket and coil bucket gusset. This is passenger side.



I really need to move my brake line to the out side of the coil bucket gusset.

 

We will. Just needed to put it mostly together to put it on the trailer to take it to get welded. Once there we take it all back off lol.
