We could make you a set without an outer hoop.

If you are looking for the closest to the body with the most clearance would be Rocky Road Outfitters.

I don't think there really is a slider available that would be "too little" for what you are wanting to use them for. We could make you a set of ours without any of the outer tubing. It would just be the frame mounting plates with the legs and the main 3"x2" tube that runs along the bottom of the rocker panel. This would give you the protection you desire for unexpected hazards, but it would also not protrude out from the side of the truck at all, so it would maintain the low profile you are looking for. Obviously a simple set of sliders like that would be much cheaper than our normal ones. PM or email us if you are interested in a price quote for a set like that.

The negatives of a slider like that would be the fact that there isn't any tubing sticking out far enough to protect the doors of the vehicle.

What's up with the kick outs on several styles I see here? Not sure I like it.
Does it server a particular purpose?

It is a preference and I personally would prefer no kick out.

They are used to help push off and away from obstacles, but it can also hurt you. Like if there is something on the other side of you that you may not want to get pushed in to. It also makes the truck a touch wider which can hurt you on tight trails.

The one thing I do like is it offers a nice step to get to the top of the cab or truck cap.

Kick-outs will (in theory) push the vehicle away from any obstacle that you are grinding along.

    MAN those are sexy.

If I wanted them in that bare metal, not powdercoated.. how will they hold up over time? Keep in mind this will be driven on icy, salty roads during the winter. Will they resist corrosion?

They will rust. For me, it's a waste to powder coat anything because as soon as it gets used it's gonna remove the powder. Just primer and paint yourself. Saves you extra money and it's easy to touch up

Thanks! All of our sliders ship bare metal, but we do not recommend installing them in bare metal. They will rust immediately! They will need to be powder coated or at least primed and painted yourself as uhplifted mentioned.

Just ordered a set of C4 Fab sliders for my longbed, hopefully they don't take to long to get in.

We are currently at about a 6 week lead time, but you may have gotten lucky. We do have one set of DCLB sliders in stock right now, I'm not sure if anyone ahead of you has ordered DCLB sliders or not.

No freakin way...C4 has them for 680 with the options I want and 175$ for flat rate shipping. I will go with them when its time to get a set...Can't beat it

Unfortunately our flat rate shipping cost does not apply to AK. We would have to get you a quote to see how much it would be for sure.

Not sure where you are located, but we are currently starting to get setup with an off road shop there who wants to be a dealer for our products. The shop is called AK Off-Road Unlimited. He said they get good shipping rates to a location in Seattle so they would have our product shipped there. Possibly they could help you out with a cheaper freight cost, or maybe you could order the same time they get some products from us and it could all ship together.
