    Few questions.

1st according to Bestop, there are no changes in the short bed super top, they said the only difference is the top is above the cab now.

Has any one taken a top that was on a pre 16 and put it on a 3rd gen SB? Any one got any photos and or how much above the cab is this, does this cause any issues for you?

"they said the only difference is the top is above the cab now."
Would really want to know if they fit or not. They probably would just not 100% tailored.

I remembering seeing a pic here on TW last fall of a dude who put pre-16 top on a current Gen3 and yes, it sticks ABOVE the cab line by 2-3 inches. It did not look right, and I'm sure it's killing the wind drag line. Bestop did not bother redesigning the top to accommodate the new Gen3 increase in bed height. this was as of last fall, not sure if they have updated since.

I have one and on my 3gen and maybe sticks up 1 inch above the cab. I have it on the last adjustable slot so you can always go to the next one down and might help a bit.

I also have the prinsu rack which helps with the look of that extra inch though

thanks, how is it driving with it up? Lot of wind grabbing at it? are you concerned about it staying on with the air flow?

Yea, I would be concerned at high speeds it would fly off and hit a car behind me. Would love to have one though...

Here's a couple pictures. One of them you can see where there is the three different slots if you want to lower that bar. It might help it might not, havnt moved it since I installed it.

There is some wind noise but not much more, I already have a lot with that Prinsu.

Not going to blow off as long as you tighten those clamps down as if you are going through a hurricane

I bet your rack moves some of the air away from the top

looks legit to me. I used to have a Wrangler and Bestop quality is way up there with OEMs. In fact it IS OEM.
You know that front protruding top looks like a Wrangler top installed backward.

Why didn't you buy Spice color? It probaly match your Sand Storm better???

    Yeah the quality is great.

I was thinking about it and then this one came up on craiglist for $200 and was only month old so I couldn't pass that up just for a color. The black and quicksand theme is working though

I think you'll be fine. Those clamps really hold that sucker down. You can also buy more clamps for 9$ from bestop
