They bolt to the cleats that came with your truck. If you bolt them to the bottom of the cleat, that should give you plenty of clearance under your cover.

Got my KB Voodoo bed bars in over the weekend. Fast shipping from the time I placed the order!

    After unpacking:

They were packaged very nicely, well protected.

Test fitted up my ski racks (great CL find!):

And just a shot to show how they mount to the Toyota bed cleats:

Very happy with the product, thanks KB Voodoo!

Our shipping based solely on weight, and we don't mark it up at all, so there wouldn't be any savings.

How did you attach the Thule ski racks to the bars hardware wise? Also do your skis clear the tailgate if they are long enough to overhang? I'm thinking of going for the same exact set up!

The Thule racks come with their own HW. Inside the rack the nut attaches through a through-bolt that goes down through the KBVoodoo crossbars and you just tighten it with your hand. Its like a butterfly bolt IIRC. And yes, the skis sit high enough in the Thule racks to clear the tailgate.

I set some radio stations. That's about it so far.
Any kind of promo on the heavy duty bed crossbars? They have been calling my name for a while now.

    I mean… it’s a Ford, you don’t care
anyone use these with kayaks? I have 10.5' kayaks, and wondering how well itd hold them, I like the idea of free bed space for more gear

For kayaks, you would be better off with our HD bars, or the XRXS.
