They hate bad reviews on dealerrater. It's a scam, to give dealers a place to only send their happy customers. Dealer's pay to become a member of dealerrater. If you put a bad review on dealerrater, they get an alert, and it won't show up for 48 or 72 hours, giving them, time to respond to you, and attempt to bribe you into changing your review. Yelp is a joke as well. If you aren't a frequent Yelper, your review gets buried in their "not recommended reviews" section.

Yeah I've gone through a few dealerships until I have finally found one I absolutely love. But my horror story began with my first new vehicle purchase of my life! I bought a brand new 2015 trd sport Tacoma last year loved the truck and wish I still had it. However after about 6 months I was curious as to what my truck was worth toward a 2016. So I went to a different dealer to get a quote. The sales manager calls me to ask what kind of accident I was in. I was like woah what I've never been in an accident. He sends me the car fax that shows the dealer I bought it from crashed it while picking it up in Indiana then fixed it in house and sold it as new and never disclosed this to me! I was irate and marched into the dealer I bought it from and demanded they make it right or else lawyers were getting involved and they would lose! They claimed some bs law saying in Wisconsin the damage can be 5% of the vehicles value. There is such a law but it applies to lot damage not a car wreck in which a police report was filed. Which I would of even been fine with money back if they could show me the extent of the front end damage, they could not and it was a right front impact to the wheel. I didn't really want to risk big problems showing up in the future out of warranty so I demanded a new identical truck which they of course could not find since mine was a manual transmission. So I got to order a new 2016 trd off road for an even trade. So I basically got to drive a truck for a year put 24k miles on it for free. The whole situation sucked since I hate dealing with that kind of stuff but the dealership was under new management since I had bought my truck and the new GM did make it right to his credit. I still however will not go back there.

That does suck. They can do some repair work at the dealership without disclosing it, but not a lot. The dumbest thing they did, was to run it through the shop computer like a customer's car, so the wreck got reported to carfax. They weren't even good at being slimy.

I work for a leasing company, and we can lease new cars, or sell our lease returns. My brother-in-law's new wife has a relative that sells cars at a dealership. He's a slime-ball, and they both know it. He sold them a used Explorer, and told them it had never been in an accident. When they went to trade it into him, he forgot he told them it had never been in a wreck, and asked her about the wreck she had. She never wrecked it. She called me and asked me to pull a car fax. It was wrecked when they traded for it, and they fixed it in their body shop. Nothing illegal, but just slimy. They bought a used Acadia from me instead. Thanksgiving will be fun.
