    Funny thing about the Guard is, every time I've come off AD orders, I'm given a DD214. I have multiple now. Yet still in the service, such a blue ball.

    Current are through March. But they're 6 month increments. Since my steroid treatments start in January, they'll extend for that, plus the Medical board after treatment. Looks like I'll be on orders for 2017. Which I'm not complaining. During the Med board I can start to get an idea of my disability % and I'll file my claim with the VA. Docs here are telling me I should be a shoe in for 100%, which would help. $$$.

    My Dad has already offered to hire me on to his start up when I'm out, I just can't make over a certain amount /year while on disability, which i understand (triple dipping on incomes), but it will all work out.

    In the Reserves you get a DD214 after every MOB. But once you Retire, all you get is a shitty letter.

    So did some tire skating in Tahoe this weekend. Think of getting one of my sets of MTRs siped since my inlaws live up there so we visit a lot in the winter... Any reason not too?

    @jberry813 might have an opinion?

    100% is money. Im at 80.

    Also look into the caregiver program, your wife can be claimed as your caregiver and she would get paid for it.

    They will chunk if you rock crawl with sipping. Other then that for street snow and ice its awsome.

    I think im ok with a little chunking for extra traction on the ice. Plus I have spares I can use for crawling.

    For road driving you wont regret it. I have had a few sets done. Difently adds traction.

    All my previous 4x4s were siped, made a difference for me. IIRC, tire warranty was void if siped, but didn't cause me any issues.

    Didn't do crazy rocks with any of them, on purpose anyway. :notsure:

    My tires came from 4wp... yeah, yeah- I know. Asked them if siping would void the warranty. They said if the issue was related to chunking, the would not cover. If it was related to anything else, they would still cover it. Since I got all 5 tires for under $800 before tax & mounting, I paid for the extra insurance. Covering siped tires is not policy, so I'm just going off the managers word.

    @Mademan925, if you get it done, let me know where you go. Probably going to do it right after the DV trip.

    we looked at those, really wanted to like them, but dang, they are cramped inside, even the ones that fit a longbed fullsized truck.
