This one also needs more bacon, that egg looks lonely. They call it the Bender-Ender Burger (The Wooden Match in Bethlehem, PA).

 

I think Canadians are just spoiled. I went there back before you needed a passport and it was everywhere AND IT WAS AWESOME. I came back to MN and couldn't understand why this wasn't a staple of our everyday lives.

Fries. Gravy. White cheese. COMBINED.

It's slowly made its way into northern Minny thankfully and I get to have it now whenever I want. There's a place down the road that makes decent poutine. They also have a Bacon Brick, which is as delicious as it sounds. It's just a piece of bacon that's the size of a regulation brick, like a bacon steak. It comes with a smokey, raspberry sauce that's just frickin' fantastic.

I lived in Canada (specifically Quebec) and ate that stuff ... but never knew what it was called .... we just called it ... "fries & gravy".

A lot of the little mom & pop restaurants going from Montreal towards Quebec City (on the smaller roads) ... made a lot of "Poutine".

I lived in Quebec (Montreal) and never ate that crap.

Smoked meat sandwiches, now we ARE talking. I guess a person could have a side of poutine with it, but then that would just be wrong.

...^^^... It was good in the winter ... just can't eat too much of it ... IMO, the best was -- "non-greeezzzy big fries, gravy and fresh grated white cheeezzzee".
