I'm considering darkening all the back windows (double cab), and putting the max legal tint on the front passenger and driver windows. What is the range I can expect to pay? Is there anything I should avoid?

I'd say an average, from a reputable shop, for 5 windows is ~220

I got mine done at TNT Tinting in VA Beach and it was $200 OTD for the 35% up front (15% less than legal) and 5% in the back, and the sun block strip up top on the windshield. Did a great job and no problems.

    No mods whatsoever!
About $150.- to $200.00 with the windshield (ANSI line). It depends, alot of people are hurting and need the work. In Fla. anyway.

$75 to get my front two windows tinted with 15% llumar film. I originally planned to get the back windows tinted more...however once the front two were done, it make the back factory tint look a lot darker.

I was just quoted $120 for 35% on the front two door windows. The film has a lifetime warranty on fading, bubbling, peeling, and cracking and after a few diy's I'm convinced this is well worth it.

what about a 98 access cab? the back window has the sliding middle peice that splits vertically. Ive heard all kinds of estimates for it. Id really like 15%

I did 20% for my front 2 windows for $80-90.

Had to take it back as I was driving away though because of a huge scratch across my passenger side film. I guess when they cleaned the windows afterwards before I picked it up. Something was on the rag and cut into the tint film.

Really shouldnt make much of a difference. Its only an extra couple of straight cuts in the film.

That seems a little steep to me, I wouldn't pay anymore than $90 for the front two. I went to an extremely reputable tint shop who has multiple locations in the Atlanta area and my job was only $75 for the front two. I would pay $120 for the front and back windows. Any reputable tint shop will use high quality films that won't fading, bubbly, peel, etc.

"tints" that annoys the shit out of me when people say that. Its like saying deers or gooses. The plural of tint is tint. I had a police officer say that to me one time in my old car. "I pulled you over for your window tints" i'm thinking to myself..wow what an idiot.

order your tint off ebay from elitetint. i just ordered 5% all the way around, and with shipping, it was $44. A buddy knew how to install it, so I exchanged some stuff with him so he hooked me up. I helped him do it...didn't look too difficult. Main issue is keeping the tint wet so it doesn't adhere to itself.
