What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Anyone here run a small Body lift (1-2in) on their truck?

 

Hows it going. Ive got a few questions if you don't mind? How did you get a 4 inch lift, what are your specs on your rims? Any rubbing issues? I really want to run 33's im just worried how much trimming im going to have to do.

 

Scooter, I've only caught bits and pieces, but are you going back to stock again?

 

Honestly, I expected nothing less after all its been a little over a year hasn't it! Can't wait to see what happens next in the Saga! how's your wife taking it?

 

So is the debate to get rid of the 15 or to sit on the parts from it?

 

Toytec 3" coilover lift with 1/2" coil spacer (so really 3 1/2" lift) the wheels are helo 17x9 -12 offset 4.53 b/s ... I did a cmc job and trimmed my fenders a little... no rubbing unless completely turned and in reverse ... I'm going to install a toytec 1" body lift to fix the rubbing once and for all! Lol

 

Ok that's the same amount of lift I have and am Running 17x9 -6 offset 4.25 back spacing. I also went with the upc lr upper control arms. Ive found a person for the CMC. Im affraid Im going to have to do the body lift as well. Looks like i'm following your lead

 

That's funny I've been keeping my eyes open for a decent 1st gen too. Something I don't mind hitting some bush trails with. They are nice trucks!

 

You guys are going to put a BL on your truck so you can run a specific type/size wheel? to each their own I guess but seems like a shit trade off.

 

Also to make room for a crawl box. Something something Marlin something something BL

im gunna be putting on some light racing uca's next couple weeks, hopefully those and my bad steering rack bushings, and new 5100 billies up front will fix my horrible ride ... rides like crap, chase it all over the road and the steering has play ... yeah I needed to vent lol.

 

I accidentally crash tested my homemade bumper....



Probably need a quick touch up with some spray paint,pretty minor worst part is I slightly drove up the side of there car and it bent one of my tie rods so my steering wheel isn't straight. Still drives fine just a crooked steering wheel. Bumper doesn't appear to be bent as far as I can tell. I'll have to check it out better in the daylight.

Finally was able to put on my RCI front skid primed, with 3 coats of flat black armour coat then 3 coats of krylon semi gloss black enamel. Hoping it will hold up to the winter roads up here in Canada. Just threw it on tonight, will grab some pics of it on the truck tomorrow.

Was fun trying to bolt it up in -10c and a freshly oil sprayed frame

 

With a 1" body lift the Atlas 4 fits nearly perfect. Having this firsthand knowledge and a factory transfer case in my truck hurts my heart.
