What this means David, is that the FBI may refer this to another law enforcement agency, usually local to the person of interest, and it's up to that agency to decide whether to follow-up.

That happens with every criminal case.

The complaint needs to be credible and not full of BS or inconsistencies, in order for the law enforcement agency assigned to the initial complaint, to determine a course of action that is favorable to the person filing the complaint.

If more than one person files a similar report, against the same person, for the same issue, then the criminal complaint will appear to be credible and well supported.

But it crosses state lines and such is a federal offense.

FBI has bigger shit to deal with than a dude that is working on getting discounted snorkels for members of a truck forum (that I'm sure all pay use tax or their states equivalent) from Australia.

His first group buy went exactly like this one went. Not sure why y'all are surprised that this is getting dragged out.

Maybe before you send money to an internet stranger via friends and family you should look into the person. Just sayin.

Which is why there's a high likelihood that this will be referred to local LE.

I'm not looking to throw @mahaloTaco into the slammer. That's overkill.

I'm looking to stop him from doing this shit again. To anyone. Anywhere. I'm hoping he gets a LE visit and something on his record. He will think twice before attempting this again.

Taking over $22k in aggregate dollars and not providing a product, or even any inkling of when that product will arrive? That is criminal in my book.

What's your skin in this game?

Did you fork over $335 to this guy? I did. And so have 60 others. And we have seen not a single snorkel in 4 months.

    Exactly my point.

    He did before.

    He did it again.

He needs to get a wake up call.

So he fucking never, ever does this again to Anyone. Anywhere.

So why the fuck would you give a random person $335 via a non refundable method when you had a pretty good guess this was going to happen? Especially considering you could have spent $35 more and already have had your snorkel for 4 months from a reputable dealer?

I'm not saying what op did was perfectly fine, but the blame doesn't all fall on him for you not getting your refund.

Just because you don't have your snorkel right now doesn't mean he ripped you off. There was bullshit last time he dealt with Airflow and it appears he is dealing with the same shit. You're all literally in the same boat as him.
