Anyone here needing a winch? Sweet deal for local taco guys.

Used Ramsey 8000lbs complete with controller, cable, hook, fairhead, and mounting bolts and nuts. $300.

Haha. I was thinking the same. Money is tight right now for me. I have to take care of the kids gifts first.

Go for it Billy. Sounds like a good deal.

As offer to bchengy, I'll even throw in a free (taking up space, no use to me) afe cai, it's missing the arm but have heat shield and cone filter. You'll just have to fab or source out the arm and put it to use. It's for a taco 4.0 engine....

    Can't beat that

Nice cool looking more weight added but is it worth to put something that you only use maybe maybe once or twice in decades
Edit: i would rather use the winch money to upgrade gears and lockers maybe it's just me thinking this way I haven't get stuck once ever since I own my truck for almost 16 yrs

Very true, but with this winch, I can only get 1 gear. still need the front and a locker, which is well above budget for holidays. plus, my 4.0l doesn't lack in power what so ever.

3.73s, with 35s, towing a 5000lb load to pismo and she didn't struggle one bit, 65 all the way.

Leaf pack, gears and lockers before summer as I may hit up the 22mile long rubicon trail with brute force Billy some time then

Neegdogdig, wasn't your truck a prerunner supercharged package that was converted to a 4wd than SA? I'm sure you didn't buy truck from toyota stealership with a SA complete already to consider 16 years of wheeling.... And if you did buy it from stealership with SA complete, that makes sense why it's 1 in 1 million 1st gen DC.

I got a fully built crawler with 39s, dual case, locked front and rear and still get stuck cause I choose road less taken by others and not ride on paved road while offroading to get there...

I'd use the winch many times each year from moving large fallen tree that is blocking trail to recovering somebodys stuck rig on the trail. I don't drive on flat dirt road that's why I get stuck.

Won't be able to buy much with 300. I remember my 2 set of Yukon 5.29 ring and pinion and Yukon master bearing kit cost over 1100

Complete drum to drum taco elocker axle cost 700 and elocker third for the front cost 400.

310 a set, plus 300 for bearing kit from marlin, plus lockers, I'm looking at 1700 for a regear front and rear with Yukon and a air locker in the rear not including labor.

    Hopefully january...
