I've not seen that. The bulbs come with a nice rubber washer that creates a solid seal to the headlight assembly. The Xenon Depot LED high beams also have the same type of washer and make a solid seal. I've not seen either the low or high beams move going over bumpy roads. That would drive me nuts.. and the roads in southwest PA are not known for smoothness.

Here is a pic of the Diode Dynamic HID bulb and you can see the orange washer they use as a compression seal.

Thanks for the info and pic. Looks solid.

By the way, I noticed in your signature line you did the a/c drain mod. Did you have rust on the frame? Looks like yet another item on the to do list.

Added these for hi, lo, fogs in the order shown below. All in was just under $200.

I had been running the Opt7's for the past week in the fogs and lo. Color is obviously much whiter and more crisp than the halogens. Cut off is very nice as well. Have not been flashed once. The BPS lights have been installed for the hi beam. Fitment was perfect and the quality and packaging of the BPS exceeds the Opt7 in my opinion. Only partially negative comment I have is that the Fluxbeam LED fans are loud and noticeable at idle.

They don't scatter, the photo is just terrible. I need a lesson in photographing light at night. Below are the shots from the inside...

I've just received a set of the Xtreme LED's and have a question regarding installation: Did you use the default "clocking" for the beam orientation or did you adjust using the included hex key? I'm not sure if one can adjust while the bulb is in place or if one has to remove it and adjust by trial-and-error. Thanks!

PM'd...but thought it might be helpful to others..

Great question. Yes, I used the included hex key to adjust the clocking. Mine are in a 12-6 (up and down) orientation. What I mean is the LEDs looking at the front of the headlights are on the sides (LED's are at 9-3). The XD logo is horizontal. Sorry...it's early. On the first side I put it in I noted where they were. Took them out...adjusted the clocking..reinserted. They were now at 1-7...took them out..adjusted...nearly 12-6. I'm a bit OCD...took them out..adjusted and now they were at 12-6. The second side only took two iterations as I was getting pretty good at adjusting them.

You can't adjust them while they are in the headlight assembly. That would be too easy.

    Guys

Regarding the interior, there's a small light below the radio called the center tray light (page 389 in the manual). I would like to change this to a blue led. has anyone done this, if so how do you remove and also source for light?

    Thanks

I would like to know this as well! I want to place my CB radio there and remove that light and run the power wires through that light hole.

I did the conversion a month ago. Just for your guys info, one of my connectors came loose and made the fog light ficker. Just wrapped a zip tie around it and worked great. We worth the cash and I'm going to do the high beams next.

I contacted TRS about the shaking beams on their morimoto HID conversions and asked specifically about their return policy. They were cordial, but pretty much ignored my question about returns and implied that the shaking beams was the fault of the projector and not their bulbs.

So I ordered a HID kit from Diode Dynamics along with the high output LED fogs and LED interior lighting. It will be interesting to see if these bulbs shake. Additionally, the Diode Dynamics return policy is far more generous and they do not have crazy restocking fees like TRS.

I will report on the shaking and photos soon!

I currently have these on my 2017 Tacoma, 2014 4Runner and recently sold 2016 4Runner. I didn't experience any shakes as this would have drove me crazy. Regarding the fogs, the 2014 4Runner has the high output ones (XLM2). They are bright. Like real bright. On the 2017 Tacoma I chose to go with the middle one (XP80). A little less bright. It's a preference, just beware if you went with XLM2's they will light up the surrounding area. Both match my HID's (6K) perfectly in both vehicles.

The only reason I went with the XLM2 in the fogs was that they came in 5000K which matched the 5000K HID kit I ordered. I wanted more of an OEM look instead of a cool blue.

Understood. Just an FYI on the 6K's from DD. They are pure white w/o any blues. I'm like you and do not like the blue hints in headlights. Check up in the thread as I have pics from my 6K's at night. No blue color, just pure white and great cutoff.
