I looked there. Not my first choice in areas. I'd prefer town water and Sewer too, which is tough in rural areas

 

Back to the convo about getting my winter wheels put on.

Town Fair Tire are morons. Told me they do it a while back when I called, now they say no because I'd have to buy tires from them.

Called the stealership because of the TPMS sensor thing, they do it but it'll cost me $$$$

Called Firestone and they do it, and seems cheap anyway, and they try to program the TPMS. So as of right now, going there Friday afternoon to get it done. Hopefully it'll be doing this in the end:

 

I think 12 is when the market finally stabilized. I bought right before that when prices were super low

 

Firestone took care of mine, guy there was really careful with the black rims

 

Dude on the phone was super nice, so are of right now looking like it'll be a go!

 

I bought mine in October of '12, and got it for $95k, which was about $50k below local market value.

But, we were slower on the recovery from the bubble bursting than most of the country.

Probably because you were standing behind him cursing in Korean the entire time.

 

I was gonna say if you managed that when it busted, WTF girl nice move. Didn't think so but that's how I read it.

I know part of it is buying when I did but you'd think ripping it all apart inside would have still helped something. Siding and shingles outside as well. I know my market appeal is somewhat limited being a 2 bed-1 bath but plus side is the new high school.

 

It'll get there, market is a lot stronger now. And economy usually slows before election, now that that's over people usually feel better about spending money again

 

Are winter tires really needed on our trucks? I have the firestone destination A/T's but I haven't run them in the winter yet. I average about 80-100 miles a day for commuting.

 

Depends on what you're running for tires. I wouldn't want to run the stock Dunlops, or a set of MT's during the winter.

 

Still frustrating. Not that I plan to sell soon, but just the kitchen last yr was 15 grand and I got off the hook easy. The whole house is rewired, new windows, insulation, new walls/floor (living room refinished the hardwood)..siding/shingles..new furnace. That's just off my head in the past 12 yrs.

 

I had a loaner tacoma last winter during one of the storms, she seemed fine in the snow

 

270k july of 2015 HOA neighborhood (its 50 bucks a year so i couldn't care less) now worth 300k+ not bad for a year worth of gain lol and that doesn't include any of the work i have been doing.

 

My life in a nutshell. Except for the husband part, since I'm not married, obv.

Meh. The Dunlops would probably do ok, but I drove some pretty nasty snowstorms when I had my Tacoma and some of them were an active driving experience even with Duratracs.

 

My neighbor just sold his house in one day for $320K. And that was for a 14 year old house. Pretty sure he paid less than $170 for it. Makes me think that the RI market is coming back

 

That's me but with bikes. And also no wife haha

 

The Dunlops are fine when they're new, they suck when they start getting worn.

I guess I also need to go back on my previous statement about housing costs. I just looked at what my house is now worth and damn, it shot up!

 

Yeah ri market is pretty stable. Unemployment is back to pre recession levels
