I love the look of this guard! Is there any noticeable increase in road noise? Doesn't seem like there would be, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

Also, how durable is the finish? I may order it bare and have it coated with Line-X instead... as long as the cost of doing so doesn't exceed Avid's coating price of $90 (give or take a bit).

Tried it from work a couple hours later and it worked :) Placed my order for a guard and some bolt on sliders. Can't wait!

Hi guys! I was wondering if there is enough clearance for an LED with stealth brackets or if the bar will block the light. It looks like there is enough clearance in the pictures but I just wanted to verify it before I made the purchase. Thanks guys!

I believe that you can still use the hidden light bar. I got the same Cali raised light, but I am going to mount it to the avid bar instead.

I'm going to give it thought over the weekend but I'm almost sure I'm going to purchase, but I need to ask about the mounting bracket thickness. I am already using the same mounting location of my light bar mounts, (see your photo from instructions, 3rd gen) and I am concerned I may run out of stud thread to remount my bumper reinforcement.

You may need to buy some longer & heavier grade hardware if there isnt enough thread to handle both.

Ill send this over to Brandon and discuss with him in a few hours. Its still pretty early here in AZ and hes not in just yet.

The brackets are 3/16" thick. We've had a few customers mount the front bumper guard with those LED brackets but I would measure the amount of stud you have left and make sure there's at least 3/16" of threads there. Shoot me an email if I can answer any other questions. Thx

Thank you, I will take some measurements and check. If it comes to it I'll just remove the bar and put it on my roof rack.

Does this interfere with aftermarket front skid plates?

Also, installation was manageable with one person. Took some trial and error trying to blindly line up the holes with the bolts. If you have a friend that you could borrow for 5 minutes, it'll make the installation go much faster. Only complaint is that accessing the nut and torquing it down was a pain in the ass. Not a whole lot of space to work with from inside the factory bumper.

I removed the grill and side inserts. I was able to comfortably reach all the bolts.
