    Noob question. When removing my 5100's that are on highest setting, Im worried about the spring blowing near my hand. I found a video showing how to remove it without a spring compressor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkVLBOnAifc), anyone use this method with 5100's? If so, how do you know how much to lift the lower control arm?

    Never done it that way. If you have concerns I'd take the 3 nuts off the top but leave the center nut on & remove the whole strut, take it to a shop & pay them to adjust them for you. It can definitely be sketchy to do it yourself, will pucker your ass for sure. Haha
