That is ugly and a ripoff ... i bet money its not a quality lift. My local Toyota does this shit all the time and guess what? ... some sucker comes along and buys it. I guess some people are not smart enough to figure out they are marking the mods like lifts, wheels, tires etc way up like over double what you can buy the stuff for

don't forget the step rails. Dealer mark up on add ons is HUGE. I refuse to buy any extras from the dealer unless they price them right and it something I want.

You know it, pulled a chair over to get all comfy and everything.

They said they would do a multi-point inspection. I wanted that because I did some amateur 4x4 in Sedona and hit some rocks pretty hard. I dented the skid plate and cross member, but wanted to know how the frame looked.

When I asked the guy he said he would check fluids but refused to put it back on the lift to look at damage. Even though he said he would. Fucking stealerships.

How? They offer a for-profit product. Someone either chooses to buy or not to.

How is that ripping them off?

Yeah, this looks about right. When I bought mine, I went to one dealership, and the only taco they had with 4x4 was a showroom SR5 with many of the same "upgrades" as this one. They tried real hard to sell it to me, they wanted 45K for it.

The sort of person who buys an SR5 access cab with stupid looking wheels and questionable other upgrades for $43k is the sort of person who I want buying stuff from me.

That, my man, is not "ripping people off". They're making a product (supply) and seeing what people will pay for it (Demand). Absolutely nothing wrong with that!
Although, I would never buy that truck, someone probably will, and as long as the dealer is honest about the type of upgrades the consumer is getting for the additional price, then if it's a legit transaction. Dealerships are in business to make a profit too and no one is forcing someone to buy that <ugly> truck.

That's a hefty price. I remember when they tried to charge me $150 for door cup guards.

    Workin' on it....
I'm totally fine with dealerships making a profit (we all gotta eat) but there is a difference between making a healthy but fair profit margin and taking advantage of people. I'd like to think Tacomaworld is an educational resource about what may be fair market value for stuff.
