SR5 is available on the 5 lug trucks as well. They just aren't as common.

    Oh mine are 16

    But narrow as hell

I don't understand how 225 and 265 be on the same wheel

In sports car world that's never possible

The 225 and 265 can be mounted on the same wheel because we are dealing with 70 and 75 aspect ratios. The big sidewalls absorbe the difference. A sports car is going to be 35,40,45 series tires.

Yes. I am the only owner of it. I bought it in December 2000 with only 100 miles on it. And those were from the test drives before me.

I still have the window sticker in the glove compartment. I'll snap a picture and load it up in a few.

Yes, the gauge clusters are white. I also have intermittent wipers, tilt wheel, chrome bumpers, chrome grill surround, and chrome badges. I believe the chrome package is what makes it an SR5.

The SR5 of the 2000 1st gen model Tacoma
was basically an exterior chrome package...
With a few interior options added.

But I've since removed all of the existing exterior chrome.

    My '00 SR5 included...

    5vz
    5 speed
    Tilt Steering
    Cruise Control
    Variable/Intermittent wipers (stalk)
Alloy wheels (F their inclusion/selection of supposed off road tires)
    8.4 Rr open differential
ADD (auto diff disco) shift on the fly.
Chrome bumpers, grill and emblems. etc.
Probably some other useless thing I've forgotten to mention.

    but it did not include...

electronic - power door locks or windows.

Which is one of the primary reasons I chose this particular model.
I prefer manual windows and door locks for my off road adventures.

But I have them on my dd '10 Corolla steet ride
to prove I'm not a hater of laziness. Lol

The TRD electronic locking Rr differential was not available back then.
Or I would have opted for having that.
So instead... I had to put my own locker in the rear axle.

Later came to find out that...
the 8.4 diff. is stronger then the the e-locker 8.0 diff.

So maybe not as simple as pushing a button for diff lock...
But the axle trade off is stronger Vs weaker.

That's the easiest way to upgrade the truck! Buy the cheapest model and customise it the way you want! My base model with billies, custom built bumper, Ray10's, 34's and upgraded sounds plus wet okole'sScreenshot_2016-11-15-18-16-05-1.jpg

Buy a basic bare bones regular cab, swap it to extended cab :anonymous:FB_IMG_1473674687801.jpg 20161120_171247.jpg

    Mine new was not poverty. It was 20 years old when I purchased it. It is a 96 3.4 4x4 SR5 access cab (profile pic). However, the way she sits right now is as follows;

    -5 speed minus 4th gear.
-Power windows- buttons are out/off the door and the Windows slide forward and don't go up without assistance.
    -Tape/CD player- both are inoperative.
-Door handles slide in and out of their holder.
-Rear sliding window does not latch, but does have two custom cut dowel rods cut to keep them from being opened.
-Paint peels off daily, from all over.
-Tailgate latch is broke, but I have it rigged with 550 cord and is at least functional.
-Power antennae-is broke off at the base, but hey- the power motor that would raise it up works great...evidenced by it's lovely whine as your turn the engine on or off.
-moon roof- manual latch is broke, but I have it rigged to open and close.
-Locking gas door- lock is broke and no key. Flaps at will at any speed. Makes lovely metal slapping noise- always.
-Bright light switch turns lights off- makes driving at night really interesting.
-AC- worked great the first week I owned it. While sitting at a red light, it screamed for mercy for about 5 seconds, then with a large cough of electrical smelling smoke- died and has not breathed since.
-Door panels are falling off, but previous owner screwed them on...thanks Dad.

That is not all, but since all I can afford to do to fix any of the above stated issues is to write about on this free forum. So, it is indeed a poverty Tacoma to me. On the plus side, it cranks up every time I turn the key and gets me from point A to point B.
