All swit he's are different. But it looks like the red wires with yellow tracer are going to be for +12v in and out of the switch. Black is to ground. Green is to be spliced into dash illumination circuit. A quick test would be to touch the black and green wires to a 9 volt battery and the switch should illuminate.

As for the lights having one black and one white wire, no big deal. Make the blacks your positive and grounds white. With lights it does not really matter. Just wire them all the same. So from your switch the wire goes to the black wire on the lights. Run the whites to a found ground spot on the body.

Likewise, switches do not really care which wire is hot and which goes to the light. A switch just interrupts the current. Hence the same two colored wires on the switch (red with yellow tracer).

Is there a wiring 101 post somewhere on this forum, or do I need to make one?

So essentially, I could tape into a fuse for power, black to a screw somewhere, and use a butt connector for the other two?

Ok, so I found out green is power, red 1 is for relay. Red 2 goes to fuse, black is ground. Think there would be an issue if I connected power and relay only for now? The switch should work but won't be lit up, correct?

Don't care about the tire. As long as it's not covered in flaky rust bubbles I'll take it. I'd prefer it to be some what clean looking

I think mine may be 16" even though truck came with 17s on it. Lloyd is probably closer to you Steve.
