FYI ~ this is pretty much accurate

"Canadian bacon" is American usage for a form of roughly cylindrical fully cooked back bacon, usually smoked, trimmed into medallions, and thickly sliced.[4] The term "Canadian bacon" is not actually used in Canada, where the product is generally known simply as "back bacon", while "bacon" alone refers to the same streaky pork belly bacon as in the United States.[4]

"Bacon," "Canadian Bacon," "Back Bacon".... pffffft! Amateur hour!

Prepare to be elevated from the dark ages, and have your minds blown, plebs.

    MIND BLOWN I SAYS!

The best part of a pig fatback. Cured into Salo. Salty and delicious, it takes your taste buds on a trip that LSD can only dream of.

Having some borscht? Cut a piece of salo on to your slice of bread.

Having some perogies? Cut a piece of salo on to your slice of bread.

Having a slice of bread? Cut a piece of salo on to another slice of bread.

Not eating anything? You should be eating salo.

Exhausted after a day of wrenching on your truck? Salo will give you the boost you need.

Pounding back a few beers? Nothing goes better with beer than salo.

Camping in the remote wilderness? You best be frying up some quartered salo with your eggs.

Forgot an anniversary present for your wife? She'll love salo!

Need some urgent lubricant? Salo has you covered.

    You're welcome.
