I seem to hear the throatiness of the exhaust more inside the truck especially during acceleration then I did in my second generation.

Does anyone else feel like it's louder in the cabin?

I never had a 2nd gen to compare to, but I like the engine/exhaust noise when it's pushing 5-6k rpm

This is essentially a worthless, meaningless post

I would say so, but the overall noise from everything else is quieter.

I didn't own a 2nd gen so I cannot comment. I agree that the exhaust noise is quite prominent in the 3rd gen.

True, it sounds amazing really at that rpm on 3rd gen. Shocked me the first time I heard it and also how it just freaking moved out. I was like, really ?
Had to wait to get miles on it before I opened it up, and was pretty impressed.
