What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I'm running the Pro Grill and did the Horn and black out Mod and have No wind noise issues. Sometimes the wipers will cause It. What else did you add to the front end?

 

Like it a lot!!! And when you say dive in gas mileage how much are you talking?

 

Nothing that wasn't already there before, before I started noticing the noise. Even changed my wipers already since they were old, and still doing it.

 

Just guessing now. Maybe check that your air filter is clipped in the housing correctly.

That bamf top plate you put on not too long ago. Any chance that's where the whistle is coming from?

 

Will check that. At this point I'm willing to try anything.

Was already doing it before that.

 

Haven't done a lot of wiring but I'm going to try to make this rocker switch work with the harness that came with my lights. I want to replace the switch on the harness with the rocker. Happy thanksgiving peeps!

Replaced the 3rd brake light bulbs with red LEDs

 

How does it look? I've been wanting to do this as well Ima do it tomorrow Morning.

 

Much better. It now matches the LED taillights.

I had originally replaced the bulbs with white LEDs and the 3rd brake light looked pink compared to the taillights. The red LEDs make it look red

 

Does the wind noise happen every time you drive your truck or just on windy days. I get wind noise around my doors when its windy and Im driving down the interstate.
I think there was some post sometime long ago about the noise coming from the front end, I think it had something to do with the rubber sealthat goes across the radiator. You might try and search for it. Good luck trying to find it and keep us posted whenever you find it.

 

Happens every time I drive it.

 

Installed my self and it's not bad at all. I like that I can wash my frame nice and easy. Just looking at my truck you wouldn't be able to tell I have a body lift if I didn't tell you. Check my build

 

Installed skid plate and tinted pass window, have to order more tint couse i didnt order enough and screwed up twise. Went with 28% but back looks little darker, probably 20%

 

Quick question for anybody who has painted there bumpers themselves or knows somebody who has, I was gonna use that linex DIY kit from to paint mine. What kind of results did you get from it?
My buddy just did his Jeep floorboards & looks great. Just curious how it come out on bumper??

 

Fully stock and driving like a Grandma I was getting close to 19. After the lift, 17.5 mpg's. Now after the tires, Ive seen 13.7 and 13.8 mpg's.
