The kit comes with resistors to prevent hyper flashing!

The VLED link you posted are the ones you are using and this is plug and play right. Just wanted to verify before I order them up.

Do the DRL get dimmer when your headlights are on? From the pics it seems as if they are the same brightness as when headlights are off. Just wondering if it's blinding to oncoming drivers at night.

There is a dimmer on the drl but I dont have it hooked up cause the drls are like 650 lumen and the dimmer only dims them 10%. So that's only 65 lumens which would hardly be noticeable.

Strange question. Since the TRD models have the led strip on the sides, is the turn signal still a 7443 or just a 7440 and not able to run on 2 colors?

I ordered some switchbacks from a different company that ive had good luck with and im only getting them to come on amber with the turn signal. Although, i havent yet put in my resistors, if that matters.

Do you have it hooked up to the drl wire? If not, I'm assuming there's no power for the drl half of the bulb.

No, then how would it function as a turn signal?

it won't since you aren't using the triton switchbacks which are the topic of this thread.

Youre missing the point of my question. A switchback is a switchback regardless of brand. My question was, is the turn signal different on the SR to the TRD. If the TRD only has a 7440 socket rather then 7443(because the running light is in a different place to the sr) then you wouldnt be able to use this anyway on a TRD unless you wanted to tap the running light wire.

SR- has 3 wires @ turn signal socket:

    --ground//DRL +12V//Turn signal +12V

    Other models(sport,OR,limited)- have 2 wires

    --Ground//Turn signal +12)

Switch backs will not function as DRL & turn unless you there is a wire tapped from the OEM LED strip to give a DRL signal.

I did it in my Off-road. I missed that distinct Amber DRL lights that my 2Nd Gen had. Kinda bummed Toyota only opt'd for White outside DRL LED strips instead of the inside turn bulbs.
