I made a heat shield and applied my heat gun to it for 10 minutes on high which is well over 500 degrees they say on high it gets to 1000 degrees and I had it just blowing on the shield. Thebackside of the heat shield never got over room temp. If you touch it it's warm but it's not radiating heat. So I'll mount this up tomorrow and then do some testing with it on the truck. At this point it looks promising

    Gear is always on- not my DD. In traffic, I think some people see the truck, then look over expecting to see some prepper, or a khaki clad dude with a bush hat. They're usually confused or disappointed to find an Asian dude picking his nose.
